As a writer of both original and fan fiction, I never quite know where the line between the two lies.
Fan fiction is, by its very nature, far simpler because the characters and their world are already defined. All I have to do is move them around the board. It’s fun and enjoyable because I get to sit down and just write stories.
Original fiction is also something I greatly enjoy. From building the characters and introducing them to readers to building worlds and relationships and telling their stories, there is much to love about original content.
Then, there’s the crossover between fan fic and original work. Often, I find that when writing fan fic, it’s with an eye to filing off the serial numbers and turning stories into original works that may one day get published.
Here in this little corner of the internets, I can explore both. I hope that somewhere inside all these spaces, you’ll find something of mine worthy of spending your free time reading.
